SensiStain™ Anti-N-cadherin Antibody stains for the presence of n-cadherin, known as Cadherin-2 (CDH2) or Neural Cadherin (NCAD); which is a transmembrane cell adhesion molecule originally detected in nervous tissues. It is important in the process of embryogenesis as it is involved in gastrulation and neural crest development. N-cadherin overexpression may be associated with health concerns such as cancer cell migration, and dilated cardiomyopathy. |
