Recombinant Human Beta-NGF (E. coli)
Cat. No. | Z102165 |
Name | Recombinant Human Beta-NGF (E. coli) |
Description | β-NGF is a potent neurotrophic factor that plays a crucial role in the development and preservation of the sensory and sympathetic nervous systems. β-NGF also acts as a growth and differentiation factor for B lymphocytes and enhances B-cell survival. β-NGF belongs to the cysteine-knot family of growth factors that assume stable, disulfide-linked homodimeric structures. Recombinant human β-NGF shares approximately 90% homology with both the mouse and rat βNGF at the primary level. |

Reconstitution | A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in sterile distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. |
Storage | The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
