Description

Hygromycin B is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. It is widely used to select and maintain cells carrying the hygromycin resistance gene (hph or hyg) in bacteria, yeast, mammalian, and plant systems. Hygromycin B is effective for both transient and stable selection, providing reliable control over transfected or transduced populations.
