Description

Phleomycin D1 is a member of the bleomycin family of antibiotics that induces cell death by cleaving DNA in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. It is commonly used as a powerful selection agent for cells carrying the Sh ble resistance gene, which provides resistance to Phleomycin D1 and related antibiotics. Phleomycin D1 (also known as Zeocin) is effective across a wide range of hosts—including mammalian, bacterial, yeast, and plant cells—making it ideal for multi-system selection applications.
