Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin-2 (CCL24)
| Cat. No. | Z200405 |
| Name | Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) |
| Description |
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophils in vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils. |

| Formulation | Recombinant mouse Eotaxin-2 was lyophilzed from 0.2 μm filtered concentrated (1.0 mg/mL) solution in 100 mM NaCl, 10 mM PB, pH 7.0. |
| Function | Activity was determined by the ability to induce chemotaxis of mouse lymphocytes at concentrations ranging between 10-100 ng/mL. |
| Reconstitution | A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. |
| Storage | The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
| Usage | For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. |
