| Description |
Lentivirus expressing dCas9 (D10A and H840A) fused to the VPR activator complex (VP64, p65, Rta), which enhances gene expression by recruiting transcription factors. Unlike the dCas9-SAM system, dCas9-VPR doesn't require MS2-modified sgRNAs, simplifying delivery with a single fusion protein encoded in one vector. By using specific sgRNAs, the dCas9-VPR can be targeted to a promoter region allowing for activation of almost any gene of interest. |
