GFP Purified Protein
Cat. No. | 000033P |
Name | GFP Purified Protein |
Unit | 50 μg |
Category | Molecular Biology Enzymes and Kits |
Description |
Affinity purified recombinant enhanced green fluorescent protein (GFP) is a versatile tool that can be effectively used as a control to determine transfection efficiency, for microinjection into tissues and cells as well as for expression studies. GFP Purified Protein can be used as a standard for SDS gels, for Western Blots, and for fluorometry. This protein has a 6X Histidine Tag at its N-terminus and was purified using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC). |
Storage Condition |
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, this protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2°-8°C for one week. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |

Is this protein biologically active?
The biological activity of this recombinant protein is not tested and therefore cannot be guaranteed. All downstream applications must be determined by the end user.
|
What purity is this protein provided at?
Our recombinant proteins are provided at >90% purity.
|
What are the excitation and emission wavelengths of GFP purified protein?
The predicted excitation wavelength is 488 nm and the predicted emission wavelength is 509 nm.
|
What is the source of this enzyme?
The enzyme is produced recombinantly in E. coli, which has been engineered to express the enzyme gene. While the original gene may come from another organism, all production and purification occur using E. coli under controlled conditions.
